Who knew? I feel a blissful excitement when the words come unbidden and I scratch off reams of wonderful plot lines, new characters, and woeful turning of tides for my poor heroes. But those times are few and far between for me. The majority of my time spent writing is a hard and sometimes painful slog through tired cliches and “hey I had an idea for another story” that needs to be recorded right that moment.
It’s work. I love it. But I also know it takes a tonne of polish to make others like what I write. I am the guy who misspelled his own name on the cover of his first book, so yes. Polish, then polish some more.
(My first name on my book is two freakin initials. I still mispelled it. Sigh…)
Back to work…
Or maybe a procrasti-snack.
